Methods to prevent cockroaches
First thing to do is to cut off cockroaches’ food source; keep the living place dry and clean (especially for the kitchen area). All garbage and food waste must be put in a covered bin and cleared out everyday.
Clear unnecessary stuff in the house, such as piles of newspaper and magazines.
Perform a massive household cleaning every season, including areas behind furniture and decorative ceiling, pipes and sockets; also, fill up cracks on wall and floor.
If the situation has gone out of hand, use pesticide on area where cockroaches are found. Pesticides are normally residue; the infected cockroach would carry the pesticide around and back to their nest to terminate other cockroaches.
